Green Gables Nursing Home was established in 1987. It is a purpose-built Nursing Home set in the heart of the village of Grayshott, which is situated close to the A3. We aim to provide all of our Residents with a high standard of care in a secure, relaxed and homely environment. Our aim is reflected in our Philosophy of Care which recognises the individual rights of service users and encourages:
We wish to work in partnership with Residents to maintain dignity, individuality and privacy and strive to be sensitive to their changing physical and emotional needs. Service users, their family and friends are encouraged to be fully involved in planning care and if appropriate, care delivery. Partnership in the social activities and daily life of our home and local community is encouraged and valued. The social activities coordinator, in discussion with each Resident, develops an activities programme reflecting individual interests. Social events and outings are advertised throughout the home. All of our staff are qualified to deliver the highest standard of care and are supported by a continuous training programme encouraging innovative best practise. We encourage the care team and our housekeeping and catering staff to take vocational and other qualifications to promote a high standard of care and service. Staff are aware of current legislation and registration authority guidelines in forming best practice and work in partnership with Health and Social Services and the Commission for Social Care Inspection achieve the highest of care for our Service Users. We share and exchange knowledge with all agencies caring for older people and aim to be receptive to future practice development in our efforts towards continuous improvement. |
