| Some time in my early teens, my father gave me a coin holder. This wasn't just a pound coin holder, oh no, it held all the coins from half pence up to fifty pence. Even though I lost one, and had one stolen at a youth club in 1995, my father managed to find me replacements at car boot sales. | I don't know anyone else with one apart from him, here's a picture of mine. There are usually 2 reactions to this handy device: either a shop assistant says 'that's useful' and I nod and say 'yes', or a friend takes me to one side and advises me to get rid of it because it's sad. But having spent more than half my life with one I couldn't go back to having a pocket full of change. | In New York I found a coin holder specially for quarters. | For Christmas I got a single pound coin holder (ideal for trolleys at chav supermarkets). | A proper Euro coin holder that I found in Germany. |
